About the Role
We're looking for a Looker Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable Looker dashboards, visualizations, and data models that empower business users to make data-driven decisions.
In this role, you'll work closely with stakeholders to translate business questions into reusable, governed Looker metrics and reporting assets, ensuring performance, maintainability, and usability across the platform.
What You'll Do
- •Design and develop LookML models, including views, explores, dimensions, and measures
- •Build scalable, performant, and user-friendly Looker dashboards and visualizations
- •Configure Looker Explores, manage permissions, and organize content to enable self-service analytics
- •Optimize query performance using PDTs, aggregate awareness, caching, and LookML refactoring
- •Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business questions and translate them into Looker models and metrics
- •Maintain version control using Git for LookML development
- •Promote Looker best practices for UX, performance, and maintainability
- •Support ongoing improvements and enhancements to the analytics environment
What We're Looking For
- •5+ years of experience developing in Looker, including LookML modeling and dashboard creation (7+ years preferred)
- •Proven ability to create scalable dashboards and visualizations following Looker best practices
- •Strong experience configuring Explores, managing permissions, and enabling self-service analytics
- •Hands-on experience optimizing Looker query performance and maintaining efficient LookML code
- •Experience collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver governed reporting assets
- •Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and communication abilities
- •Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
